MCC MOTOR CONTROL CENTER

The MCC panels are mostly equipped with molded case circuit breakers, motor protection switches, contactors and regulation and control equipment. These panels have a strong metallic structure, are made up of floor cabinets internally divided into compartments or equipped with drawers and have enclosed functional areas.
Unlike the Power Center, each compartment does not contain a single switch or device, but all the protection, control and signaling components intended for the control of each individual motor. The design currents and the related short-circuit currents are lower than in the case of the main panels, but they still have a considerable importance in the distribution system.

MCC panels are an essential solution for plants that need to operate with a continuous cycle since they do not require prolonged stops of the motors (e.g. oil, chemical, and metallurgical plants, thermal power stations, etc.); moreover their design and functional philosophy meets the primary needs.
