The secondary distribution panels represent the second distribution level and can be realized with a plastic or metallic material enclosure. They are generally equipped with molded case circuit breakers and modular devices. This type of panel is involved by less relevant design currents with following limitations on the short-circuit withstand. Usually they are installed close to the utilities.
